This charming holiday scene was painted by Travis Roy using only a paint brush, his mouth and his imagination.
Travis was paralyzed from the neck down while playing college hockey in 1995. Just two years later, he established the Travis Roy Foundation with the mission of helping those with spinal cord injury move forward with their lives. Since then, the nonprofit agency has raised more than $3.5 million for medical research and grants to provide paraplegics and quadriplegics with transport vehicle modifications, voice-activated computers and other adaptive equipment.
Each year Travis paints a holiday scene for the foundation’s official greeting card. You can purchase these cards to send a warm season’s greeting to your friends and family, with 100% of proceeds benefiting the Travis Roy Foundation.
